Cory graduated from the University of Massachusetts - Dartmouth with a degree in marine biology. After graduation Cory continued working on his master's coursework at the School for Marine Science and Technology. During Cory's time continuing his coursework, Cory worked as a research scientist and commercial fisherman for over 1000 days on the North Atlantic. After meeting his wife in Boston and getting married, him and his wife wanted to come back home to Iowa to raise their family. When arriving back home Cory decided to pursue his love for construction and building design. After 5 years in the residential sector, he chose to follow his passion into a career in commercial mechanical design including HVAC, plumbing, and general fire protection.
