Rosalyn began interning for BBS in the summer of 2025 and will be a senior in the Architecture program at Iowa State University in the Fall. At school, Rosalyn enjoys learning the intricacies of building systems and architectural rendering. Applying architectural theories to a design of a building and seeing the experiences it creates is a puzzle Rosalyn enjoys tumbling through in her studio classes. She has had the honor to compete in several competitions. Including Project Pre-cast Student Competition in the spring of 2025 where she worked with 3 other students from across the country to design a pre-cast structure in 48 hours. Her team earned First Place and the People’s Choice Award. That experience has informed her desire to work with many disciplines to create well rounded designs and led her to BBS Architects | Engineers.
At BBS Rosalyn has enjoyed learning from the wealth of expertise the office holds. This includes, but is not limited to, calling product representatives for estimating, creating renders, and learning the basics of construction administration.
Outside of work and school she enjoys creating small art projects and has found a love for sketching and figuring drawing. To date she has filled 3 sketchbooks cover to cover! Her favorite place to exist is her local library where she can be found with mystery books in hand. If not there, then playing card games with her family.
