BBS teamed with Christensen Development, Iowa State University, and The Des Moines Partnership to develop a concept for a year around Public Market at the old historic Fire Station No. 1 in downtown Des Moines. The Public Market concept offered an opportunity to capture the culture and vibrancy of Great Des Moines, focusing on food, art and science.
