EMC Insurance Companies

Client Need: 717 Mulberry, EMC Insurance Companies Headquarters, was last renovated in 1996. Since then the company has grown and technologies have changed. Working with BBS, EMC is working to update each of the eight floors to better match their standards and working needs.

BBS Approach: Starting in 2010 BBS has been working with EMC Insurance to update their office headquarters. Starting with the executive offices and restrooms then moving onto each of the 8 floors the renovations have included new wall and floor finishes, new ceilings, new lighting, new furniture, and demountable office walls.

Enclosed offices and conference rooms now utilize a demountable wall system that have glass fronts to allow light and views. These offices are located on the center core allowing the open office workstations access to the exterior daylight and views.

Project Results:

• Updated office furniture, promoting collaboration

• New technology implemented into huddle rooms and conference rooms

• Open office access to daylight and outside views

• Reorganization of staff to reflect current needs within the EMC campus
