John Gardner retired from BBS January 1st, 2022 after a successful career of 40 years! John graduated with a Masters in Architecture from Iowa State University. From there he gained a wide perspective from several architectural and A/E structural offices before joining BBS in 1985. Following 14 years as president of his own firm, John returned to BBS as partner in 2009. His well-rounded set of design, production, and management skills helped to establish a long record of satisfied clients and make him a great architect client representative as well as a great leader to the project teams. Some of John’s major projects included EMC Tower, EMC Insurance campus renovation, Farm Bureau facilities across the United States including Iowa, Arizona, and Utah, Farm Bureau Iowa campus renovation, research facilities for Corteva (Pioneer Hi-Bred), and many renovation projects with churches throughout central Iowa.
During retirement John is looking forward to traveling, biking, and working out in the yard. Congratulations on a successful career!
